Thermoplastic Markings
- Thermoplastic is heated to 400 degrees. When applied at this temperature it melts into the top layer of the asphalt, forming a thermal bond. Thermoplastic is typically applied at 90 or 125 mill thick; it is very oil resistant and long lasting.
- Thermoplastic has glass beads mixed in with the product and at the time of application the glass beads remain on the top increasing reflectivity.
- Thermoplastic has a life span of 2-4 years
